Make it a Habit 🔁

Publication date Jul 15, 2024

Can I ask you to reflect on something, friend? What do you do daily because it matters to you?

That's a good question, I think. Because everything hinges on that.

If we want change, we must change something.

We've heard that many times before. But what's going well? What do you already do automatically, something that keeps you—I'd almost say—alive, friend?

Well, eating and drinking, for example, fall into this category. Hopefully, showering too, haha. Personally, I really like what the American author and speaker John C. Maxwell says in one of his quotes:

"Successful people do daily what unsuccessful people do occasionally. They practice discipline daily. They make it a habit..."

That's absolutely true and you're probably aware of it too. It's about doing something regularly, making a habit out of it, which ultimately becomes life-changing.

friend, do you know what, without comparison, is the most life-changing thing you could EVER do? Something you could do daily…and more often? I take the answer from the Book of all books:

"Never stop praying!" (1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT

friend, never stop praying. Never. Not on a good day when you don't feel like you "need God quite as much," and please, not on a bad day "when you're too sad to pray."

The person who regularly falls to their knees knows that this connection keeps them alive!

And by this, I don't mean that you have to follow some ritual for God to hear and understand you. friend, pray like you talk to others.

"“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him." (Matthew 6:7-8 NLT)

"Successful people do daily what unsuccessful people do occasionally. They practice discipline daily. They make it a habit..."

friend, if you want to experience what your prayers can accomplish, you should regularly get on your knees, and in simple, yes, your own words, talk to Him. Because THAT keeps you alive!

You are a miracle!
