A love that lets go…

Publication date Nov 16, 2025

Have you ever “let go out of love,”?

My mother’s tears were so great that she couldn’t make it to the airport to say goodbye. Yes, I had decided to spend a whole year in Australia—on the other side of the world—to attend Bible school.

She didn’t object, but knowing I would be alone there… That was hard for her. Yet she let me go freely so I could find my life. THAT, too, is love.

When God looked at you, He faced the same choice: “Should I really let go of my Son, whom I love so much, so that people—like—can be set free through Him?”

God let Jesus go—to set people free!

As it says in this famous verse: “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

Maybe you, too, are being asked to let something go that you don’t understand. Believe me, neither my mother nor I fully realized the amazing things that her decision to LET GO would bring! I would even go so far as to say I don’t think I’d be writing to you if my mother hadn’t let me go back then! 😲

And if the Father in heaven hadn’t let go of His beloved Son, Jesus, I definitely wouldn’t be writing to you today. But even worse than that: you and I would be lost.

There is incredible power in letting go. Letting go makes room for something new—something you would never see if you held on too tightly.

And I know how hard that can be—even God knows. But He also knows what He can do. That’s why He calls out to you: trust me!

In short, let go and let God work!

Because the good that awaits you is still ahead!

You are a miracle!
