That’s two different shoes 👟👞

Publication date Nov 21, 2025

Seeking God—and then actually doing what He asks of you—can feel exhausting sometimes.

There. It had to be said.

Because how often do we hear the short version: “Just do what God expects from you, and then everything will be fine.”

But what if you’re tired? What if you’ve already fought so many battles, and now you just can’t anymore?

Will you compromise—or keep holding on to God’s promises?

The Bible—our treasure, our anchor, our protection, and our greatest help—makes this crystal clear. It gives you the best advice on how to stay strong in the middle of doubt and exhaustion:

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NIV

You’ve probably heard this verse before. But have you only heard it, or have you believed it? Lived it out? You know as well as I do—hearing and believing are two different shoes. What a cool picture, right? “That’s two different shoes.” 👟👞

Imagine two pairs of shoes sitting at your front door. Almost without thinking, you slip into the more comfortable pair whenever you leave the house. But next to them sits another pair. The effort to put them on is greater—you’ve got to tie the laces every time, and that means bending down. You can picture it, right?

Those are the shoes of trust. Shoes for people who decide: “I will still put my hope in the Lord, even if it looks harder at first.”

Because even shoes that seem comfortable at first will soon hurt your feet. Some things require us to “get on our knees”—and that’s exactly what helps us stand firm in the long run.

Will you decide with me today: “I will NOT choose the easy way of giving up, but instead I’ll keep getting on my knees and experience God’s strength!”

You are a miracle!
