Has anything changed since then?

Publication date Nov 27, 2025

Are you happier than you were a year ago?

I always find it interesting when Facebook, for example, shows you what happened on this day one, two, three, or more years ago in your life.

And when I saw one memory recently, I thought: “Whoa, that’s when you had decided to change something in your life to bring in more peace.”

It’s clear: If we don’t change anything, we shouldn’t be surprised if nothing changes, right?

I wasn’t too lazy to tackle it. It’s just that in this area, it’s hard for me to recognize God’s will. Do you know that feeling too? When you’ve been praying for years and still don’t get clarity?

YET there is a way to make progress, even when we feel like we don’t understand God… 😉

“He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” (John 15:2, NIV)

So what does the “fruit” God gives actually look like? The Bible tells us, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23, ESV). So do you think “God’s fruit” is question marks, doubts, sleepless nights, and feeling stuck in life? I doubt it… So, we can actually have an idea of what in our lives needs to be cut away…

Here’s a challenging question for you (and for me), because I can imagine the theme of “I have too much on my plate” applies to all of us:

“What if your change hasn’t happened yet because you’re still holding on to something God actually wants to cut away?” 😬

What that is, He will show us if we continue in prayer. I’m convinced of that!

Because God doesn’t want us to be spiritually exhausted all the time—He wants real fruit. A modern example is tennis pro Roger Federer, who once said he only became truly successful when he learned to train less and recover better. More wins through less stress. Sounds good, right?

I’m on that path—will you come with me? Then, a year from now, we can look back at TODAY and say, yes, since then, SOMETHING has definitely changed.

You are a miracle!
