Be filled with the power of Elijah!

Publication date Dec 2, 2025

Maybe it feels hard to make a difference in today’s world. You’d rather pull the covers over your head and wait until it’s all over.

But I have to disappoint you today. I’ve searched the whole Bible and couldn’t find a single verse that says: “Fear, my beloved child. Be afraid and hide. Stay in a safe place, and someday I’ll find you there.”

Nope. 🤭

Today, I want to share something with you that can completely change how you see life! In Luke 1:17, the angel spoke about the birth of John, saying:

“He will go on before the Lord in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” (Luke 1:17 NIV

So what does it mean to be “filled with the spirit and power of Elijah”? Normally, we might skim right past that, but it’s important, and I’m excited to explain it to you.

Elijah was one of the most powerful prophets—fearless and full of passion for God! In other words, the total opposite of “pulling the covers over your head and waiting things out.” You can read Elijah’s story in 1 Kings 17-19.

Elijah didn’t wait—he took action!

And today, I’m sending you out with the same encouragement: Don’t wait—rise and take action! Because that same divine power lives in you! 💪🏻

“...fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you … For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:6-7 NIV)

Ask God to fill you with the spirit and power of Elijah! Because that includes everything you might be missing right now: courage, supernatural strength, and prophetic authority.

And don’t forget: “Ask, and it will be given to you.” (Matthew 7:7 NIV)

So don’t be surprised when you start to change—and when that prayer starts to change your life!

You are a miracle!
