Feeling stuck?
You’re looking forward to your vacation, but after just an hour into your drive to your destination, it starts: traffic, traffic, traffic! Who hasn’t been there?
I get pretty nervous at times, especially when I’m on my way to a performance and end up stuck in traffic for hours. Often I’m driving the long distance alone. And then I think about being late, having to unload my car, set everything up, and get on stage—and I get even more unsettled. Honestly, I sometimes think: “Why doesn’t anyone drive me?”
Yes, in moments like these, when you feel alone, a lot of thoughts can flood your mind: “Why am I even doing this? Is it worth all the effort? I’m going to be late anyway, everyone will be upset. I won’t even have the energy left for my real purpose once I get there.”
Ohhhh, I think you can relate quickly! We all go through times like this, asking ourselves these questions when nothing seems to be moving forward. When we feel stuck.
And here’s what we’ve learned this week: God personally challenges you to become a mature believer, as it says in Ephesians 4:13: “...this will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord…” (Ephesians 4:13, NLT)
The term “mature” refers to the ability to think independently, make responsible decisions, and take action on your own.
Applied to your “I’m stuck” moment, it means: make your choice while you’re still in the traffic jam, just like David chose:
"Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him;Truly he is my rock and my salvation;he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God;he is my mighty rock, my refuge.Trust in him at all times, you people;pour out your hearts to him,for God is our refuge."(Psalm 62:5-9, NIV)
Feeling stuck? He still holds you steady!
You are a miracle!
