What did you do yesterday?

Publication date Jan 25, 2026

In the Bible, it says: “...this will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord…” (Ephesians 4:13, NLT)

The term “mature” refers to the ability to think independently, make responsible decisions, and act on them. That’s what God wants.

But what if some of your decisions yesterday weren’t the best? I can openly share my own mistakes from yesterday, even though I’m not proud of them. Yesterday, I spoke badly about someone—it just slipped out…

How good that the Bible says:

"Even if our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God…” (1 John 3:20-21, NIV)

At the end of this week, I want to release all the pressure. Yes, it is God’s desire that we grow into mature believers, that we do our best to move closer to this goal.

And when you make mistakes along the way, you can trust the One who makes you mature!

Maturity doesn’t come from your own strength, but from His power!

And that’s why your relationship with Jesus and the strength you gain through prayer are so important here. Let’s pray together:

"Jesus, I come to You just as I am. Still full of mistakes. Still full of failure. Yet I want so much to fulfill Your desire and grow into a mature believer, someone who can make wise decisions that glorify You.

Jesus, give me this wisdom, and please make me a person whose life glorifies You! Thank You that even with all my faults, I can come before Your throne of grace with confidence.

Thank You that in someone as weak as me, You see a child of Heaven, someone You can shape into a strong personality with Your authority. Make of me what You desire. Amen!"

You are a miracle!
