Bring Your Burden Here
Do you know that feeling?
Those moments when you go through something that completely overwhelms you, but you don’t really know what to do with all those emotions?
You want to call someone, cry it out, let everything spill out… And at the same time, you sense that no person can truly carry what’s raging inside of you right now.
That’s exactly why I love Daniel’s example. Hold on to this... You will never read in the Bible, “Daniel broke down crying to his friends because he was so desperate.”
Daniel also wasn’t the type to say, “I can handle everything on my own.” Quite the opposite! When the king confronted him with an impossible task, he immediately ran to his friends. But not to vent—he invited them to pray with him! (See Daniel 2:17-18)
He shared the situation with his friends, but he unloaded the weight onto God.
You probably know how it feels when you tell someone about your pain and feel a little lighter afterward, but deep down, nothing is truly resolved. That’s why Daniel shows us a better way:
Talk to people—but rely on God! 💪🏻
Maybe you’re facing something right now that feels like too much. Maybe you’ve caught yourself saying, “I just can’t handle this anymore.” You know what? You’re allowed to say that. You’re allowed to feel that way.
These emotions are valid. What truly matters is WHERE we bring them.
Let people help carry your burden in prayer, but God alone holds the solution for you. So when something overwhelms you, make a conscious decision about where it takes you—ideally, to people who will believe and pray with you. And, of course, to God, who can truly act.
Never forget: People can listen to you, but only God can save you.
You are a miracle!
