My concern? YOUR concern!
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry…” (Matthew 6:25)
And with that, everything has already been said for today. I wish you a wonderful day. 🤭
Ahh, if only it were that easy and we could just stop worrying!
While I was on vacation and one worry after another tried to steal my joy, I wrestled with this question day after day: Father, why do I worry so much when I constantly preach that we shouldn’t worry?
Gentle and tender as God is, He made me realize that I had just given myself the answer. The answer was hidden right there in my question. Because I asked: FATHER, why do I worry…
And that’s exactly where the issue was. And you’ll probably recognize this right away: As long as I am at the center—my responsibility, my abilities, my control—worry automatically becomes my constant companion.
Because worry is nothing more than an attempt to secure myself.
But Jesus said: “Do not worry.” (Matthew 6:25)
And He added something crucial: “...Why do you have so little faith? … Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.” (Matthew 6:30-32, NLT)
Your Father. Father. ❤️
At that moment I understood, “Do not worry” is not a strict command—it’s a loving invitation. An invitation to shift the focus away from “I have to, because I have to” and toward, “I’m allowed to be a child.”
Your worries won’t disappear because you forbid them. They become unnecessary when you let go of control.
Your Father knows what you need. What you need today. So, do not worry—God’s got this!
…especially when you let go. Deal?
When you know whose child you are, worry is seen in a completely different light. His light!
Shake off your worries and place them under that light by saying: “My concern? No, it’s YOUR concern, GOD! So—NO concern!” 🤗
You are a miracle!
