Cry out…

Publication date Apr 23, 2026

Are you going through something right now that no one knows about?

There can be many reasons for that. Maybe because it feels embarrassing. Maybe because you want to protect someone else who is involved.

At the beginning of this year, I went through what felt like a washing machine spin cycle of special storms in my life. And I sensed that this was a season God wanted to walk through personally with me.

Again and again, when the pain (physically) became intense and the problems (externally) grew even bigger, God called me into His presence.

It wasn’t that God suddenly appeared.

No, no.

I knew that I had to take the step and intentionally give God that space again.

I hadn’t done that in a long time, but I took the step toward Him. While the pain almost made me cry out, I cried out to my God. While another problem tried to overwhelm me, I sang to God.

When life tries to bring you to your knees, start singing to your God—louder than ever! 🎤

It may not sound logical, but this is true:

I hadn’t felt God this close in a long time, as close as I did in the very moment when He seemed so far away.

Do you understand what I mean?

Sometimes it feels like God is far from your problem, yet His presence is unbelievably close at the same time.

During that season, this verse encouraged me so much: “David was greatly distressed … but David found strength in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6, NIV)

Do you notice something important here?

It doesn’t say, “the Lord strengthened David.”

It says, “David strengthened himself in the Lord.”

And today I want to encourage you to do the same:

Strengthen yourself in the Lord and you will see that He is not far from you either.

You are a miracle! ❤️
