Your soul will remain whole!

Publication date Apr 29, 2026

“Who is your portion?”

Now, you might be wondering what I mean by that, but let me explain today through Jeremiah.

He poured out his immense sorrow in the Scriptures. I won’t go into all the details, but let’s just say that I would never want to go through what he experienced.

And then, in the middle of recounting how hopeless his situation seemed, how broken he felt, he says: “The Lord is my portion.” (Lamentations 3:24, NIV)

And that is so powerful!

Despite everything going wrong, his plans being blocked, his body weakened, and his mind exhausted—like if someone told you, “None of your dreams will come true”—he declares:

“The Lord is my portion.”

In Hebrew, the word “portion” means “inheritance” or “what belongs to me.”

So when Jeremiah says, “The Lord is my portion,” it concretely means, “I no longer define my life by what I have or what I’ve lost, but by God Himself.”

Wow… 😲

It’s not about expecting: “God will give me everything back, heal me, make everything right…”It’s about saying, “God is my portion—right here, even in the middle of my suffering.”

Another way to put it is this: “The Lord is all I need.”

This thought touches me deeply. How often do I wait for God to fix everything before I can continue with life through a storm? But Jeremiah said in the middle of the storm: “THE LORD IS MY PORTION.”

Because of this, his soul remained strong, even while his body and mind were weak and his circumstances catastrophic.

Maybe you can relate.Maybe this is exactly where you are right now.

Then let this vital truth settle in your heart: If the Lord is your portion—your soul remains firm and whole.

You are a miracle! ❤️
