You can simply do this today đ
Let me share something I experienced on a long-awaited vacation:
I had set up my email autoresponder. Anyone who wrote to me would receive a friendly message saying that I was trying to rest. But somehow, people (and I fully include myself here) seem to be wired to want everything NOW. Including answers.
And so instead of peace, I received a flood of WhatsApp messages like: âHey DĂ©borah, I know youâre on vacation, butâŠâ
Honestly, I donât mind replying to one or two messages, but it became too much⊠and it took away the time I wanted to give to myselfâand to God. My goal on this vacation was to hear from God again and understand the direction for what comes next.
And it felt like pressure, messages, and unrest were shouting at me, even from the other side of the world.
And here we need to learn to take responsibility for ourselves and give a clear STOP. đ
Because if you donât say no, no one will do it for you!
May I ask you: what is YOUR current goal? Mine was to spend more time with God and hear from Him. Often you quickly realize that your goal is so valuable it even makes the enemy uncomfortableâand thatâs why he tries to interfere⊠(see John 10:10)
Thatâs exactly why it becomes even more important to learn to say NO⊠so that your YES to God doesnât get lost among all the yeses to others.
Saying no is not being hard or cold; it is spiritual maturity. It means taking responsibility.
If you know your goal, protect itâeven the path toward it. â€ïž
Because often we donât even need to âdo moreâ to get there. We simply need to keep the path clearâfree for Godâs voice.
Just like Jesus says to Martha in Luke 10:41-42:ââMartha, MarthaâŠââ Or should we say, âthe Lord answered, âyou are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is necessary.ââ (Luke 10:41-42 NIV)
This is a small reminderâwith a big impact.
You are a miracle!
