After a discouraging diagnosis, I heard my friend say, “Oh man, if only we had private insurance—we’d get better doctors at the hospital.”
I understand the sentiment! Don’t we all want the best care we can get? Yet, I cannot help but think on this truth: our healing comes from God, who guides every hand and holds every outcome, even if the outcomes are not always what we hope for or expect.
You have a direct line to the One who can work everything together for your good—and for the good of your loved ones. (see Romans 8:28)
In such a way that even in a four‑bed hospital room, you could receive better carethan a private patient in a VIP suite.
Are you aware of that? Do you believe that?
There are Bible verses that reveal this, and whose power becomes even clearer in the original language. This one fits perfectly:
“Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.” (Isaiah 43:10-11, ESV)
If you look at this verse in the original Hebrew, you’ll notice something very important right at the beginning. Literally translated, God says:
“I, I” am Yahweh, and besides Me there is no savior.”
The double expression “I, I” is extremely strong in Hebrew. This is not a casual statement—it is an exclusive claim.
God doesn’t just say, “I am the Savior / Redeemer / Deliverer.”
He says, “I alone am the Savior—there is no one else!”
What does this mean for you today?
We humans like to put our trust in worldly solutions: good insurance, stability, maybe a house of our own, and a steady income. Or help from other people. The list goes on.
But the truth is that ultimate security is not found in things. It can only truly be found in God.
“Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior.” (Isaiah 43:10-11, ESV)
You already have more than enough today. Because you know the One for whom everything is possible.
