God Is With Us in Salvation
Can we go back to the Christmas story one more time? Sometimes, it’s in the off-season that we can discover new truths!
The angel didn’t just calm Joseph’s fears—he revealed the purpose of the child Mary would carry.
“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21, NIV)
The name Jesus means “God saves.”
That name tells us why Christmas matters all year long!!!
Jesus didn’t come merely to inspire us or teach us good ideas. He came to rescue us.
Every human being carries the weight of sin and brokenness. We all know what it feels like to fall short of the life God designed for us.
But God didn’t leave us stuck in that condition. Instead, He stepped into our world. Through Jesus, God provided the way for us to be forgiven, restored, and made new.
The apostle Paul later explained this truth clearly:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9, NIV)
Salvation is not something we earn. It is something we receive.
Christmas (even in summer!) reminds us that God didn’t stay distant from our brokenness. He stepped into it so that we could experience His grace.
Jesus is the ultimate proof that God is with us, and that is not reserved for the Christmas season. It’s true all year long!
Let’s pray together:
Jesus, thank You for coming into our world to bring salvation. Thank You for the forgiveness and new life You offer. Help me live today in the freedom and hope that comes from knowing You. Amen.
You are a miracle!
