Release blessing! đ„
Youâve probably been to a wedding with a cover band, havenât you? Okay, Iâm not exactly the youngest anymore. đ These days, itâs usually a DJ at events like that.
But back in the day, I earned money that way to finance my studies at a Bible school. And I have to say, Iâm still proud today that I set boundaries back then.
It came from my heart when I told the band leader, âIâll play along. But when it comes to songs thatâeven just for funâtalk about topics like âhell,â Iâm out.â
And there are surprisingly many of those! You probably know the song âHighway to Hellâ. It literally says, âIâm on the highway to hell.â
Why should I sing lyrics like that? Words that bring nothing but destruction?
The Bible says: âWith the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in Godâs likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.â (James 3:9-10, NIV)
It might not seem that important to set boundaries like this in everyday life or at work. But todayâso many years laterâI can tell you that God saw and blessed those small decisions.
God does not overlook your faithfulness in the hidden places.
And it was truly not always easy for me. Enduring the looks and people asking, âWhy is she stepping off the stage again?â
Those moments no one would have noticed if I had gone along with it⊠except Him. And thatâs what matters. â€ïž
It is clearly written: â...your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.â (Matthew 6:4, NIV)
Is there a boundary youâve crossed because âeveryone does it that wayâ? Then today is a good day to say, âFather, Iâm sorry,â and to step into healthy boundaries again. đȘđ»
This change in your lifeâGod can only bless it!
You are a miracle!
