You should create some distance

Publication date Jun 25, 2026

Sometimes you wish there was another solution. A clarifying conversation. Right?

I know this from my own life: you invest in people, build relationships, work closely together, and then at some point you realize: this is not good for me anymore.

Not just: “It simply doesn’t fit,” but: “It is hurting me.”

Deep inside. It changes you. Your thoughts. Your attitude. Your joy.

There are topics we try to avoid for as long as possible. What we often don’t see is this: when we avoid these issues, they end up blocking our path.

Recently, I noticed in one area of my life—and therefore in my calling (because, your life is your calling!)—that things simply could not continue the way I had hoped. I had become stuck. Why? Because the people I needed for implementation had a completely different vision.

I was staying stuck to avoid this exact confrontation. 😬

And then I realized: If I stay, I lose something God has entrusted to me.

Do you know the saying: “Bad company corrupts good character”? Maybe you always thought that was just a phrase—but it is actually a Bible verse you can read in 1 Corinthians 15:33.

A hard sentence. A deep truth.A truth that divides—but in doing so, also sets you free. And, if the other person allows it, it can even bring freedom to them, too.

Your relationships don’t even have to be “bad.” But if you realize you are no longer moving forward, then it is time to ask:

Am I staying stuck to avoid a (liberating!) confrontation?

Maybe you are waiting for something: “It might still change…”

But how long do you want to wait?

Let me tell you this: your life is valuable,

Because for every day of your life, there is a heavenly assignment.

Will you live it?

You are a miracle!
