Let go! 😉
We’ve probably all had those deep and powerful moments when we feel ready to give everything to God. 🙌🏻
Maybe during a church service after a powerful message, or maybe during your quiet time with God.
And out of pure love and conviction, you suddenly cry out: “Oh Lord, what do You want from me? What are You asking of me?”
You know what’s so crazy?
No matter how deep that moment may be, just a little while later, our minds are already somewhere else: “Hm… I wonder what’s for dinner today…” 🤭
Abraham also had a deep encounter with God. In fact, Scripture says: “The Lord appeared to him.” (Genesis 18:1, ESV) And he received a clear promise: “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” (Genesis 18:10, NIV)
Years later, God tells Abraham to go take his son and sacrifice him. Yep, you read that right! So, “early the next morning Abraham got up...” (see Genesis 22:2-3)
And he set out. He didn’t hesitate. Just imagine that! After the Lord told Him to do something like that, Abraham obeyed.
God actually answers your question: “Lord, what do You want from me?”
And based on that answer, you build a business, start a family, or whatever else God asks of you. And then one day God says:
“Let it go. Release your children. Place your business into other hands.” 😲
➡️ Would YOU act on what God asks of you the very next morning?
I think most of us would first come up with a long list of objections…
But Abraham let go, and received MORE in return! He received the full blessing of God for His obedience. We read about how God told Abraham not to lay a hand on his son, but to sacrifice a ram instead (see Genesis 22:12-14).
He got his son back and became the father of many nations!
Letting go means allowing God to move and watching an indescribable blessing come back to you.
Do you believe that today?
Will you choose to let go immediately and let God be God?
You are a miracle!
