There’s a price tag attached to it…

It comes at a cost.

The powerful calling placed on your life comes with a price. Isn’t that true?

We all long for God’s guidance. To hear His voice.To receive clarity.

But what we often forget is this: when God speaks, it rarely ends with beautiful words alone…

Because His calling for your life carries weight.

Abraham didn’t just receive a beautiful promise. It came with an assignment. He was given a test of courage, responsibility, and a season full of hard questions.

“Why?”

And do you know what God asked of him?

Everything.

And here is what I can’t stop thinking about: Abraham had no idea how it would end. He had no backup plan or safety net… He didn’t have a second son in case God truly took the only one he had.

He had only this one calling—a calling that would cost him everything.

Scripture says: “By faith Abraham … obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.” (Hebrews 11:8, NIV)

And that is exactly the price tag: moving forward without knowing how it will end.

God often shows you only the next step—rarely (or maybe never?!) the whole picture. And that is where it becomes costly. Because suddenly it costs you:

— your security— your understanding— your need for control

And honestly? That is often harder than anything else.

But this is exactly where something powerful happens: Abraham obeyed before he understood. And only afterward did God intervene.

He wasn’t blessed because he said, “I trust God.” He was blessed because through his obedience, he showed: “I truly trust God.”

Trust means moving forward, not just talking about it.

So let me gently ask you today: What if your breakthrough is waiting exactly where it costs you the most to take the next step?
