God’s Instruction is Clear

Publication date Jul 14, 2026

During a “Question and Response” live broadcast, someone asked me: “I’ve fallen in love with someone other than my spouse, and we’re intimate. I really feel like God brought this new person to me. Am I right in believing that?”

My answer was quick and clear! “No, the Bible says you should not commit adultery. God did not bring you together. That is NOT how he works!”

When I look at Scripture, I’m reminded that God doesn’t confuse His people with unclear direction. In 1 Samuel 10, God gave a specific instruction to King Saul. It was clear, direct, and complete. The issue was never clarity; it was obedience. King Saul missed God's clarity, direction, and stability. He chose his own judgment over divine command, costing him his kingdom.

When our thoughts seem better than God’s word, we risk losing everything.

God still speaks clearly today through His Word. The question is not whether He has spoken, but whether I am listening and willing to act. The Bible says:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV)

Submission is the posture of obedience. It means I acknowledge that God’s wisdom surpasses mine. Even when His direction challenges my preferences, I choose to trust that His path is better.

Too often, I try to reinterpret God’s instructions to fit my comfort or convenience. But God’s Word is not something to be adjusted. It’s something to be followed.

Today, I want to be someone who takes God at His Word without hesitation. Not adding to it, not subtracting from it, not delaying it—but simply obeying it.

Will you do the same?

Father, thank You for speaking clearly through Your Word. Forgive me for the times I have ignored, delayed, or reinterpreted Your instructions. Give me a heart that fully trusts You and a willingness to submit to Your ways. Help me walk in obedience with confidence that Your path is always best. In Jesus name, Amen.

Never forget my friend,

You are a miracle!
