You Are Not a Loser! ✋

Are you like this too? 😄 My grandma always read the end of a book before reading the first pages because she had to know how the story ended before she was willing to go through all the drama in between. Haha!

And what's funny is that while reading, she stayed completely calm—even when some chapters became really dramatic or dangerous—because she already knew how the story would end.

So why is it that we struggle to live the same way when we already know the ending of our story?

God has already written the ending of our story—and we are definitely not going to lose!

Yet sometimes we act like the biggest losers. Oops, can I even say that? 

Come on, I'll use myself as an example—that hurts a little less. Though you probably know exactly what I'm talking about… All it takes is an important event coming up—and suddenly I get sick. Immediately I'm disappointed: "Why, God? Why now?" And before long, I'm pulling the covers over my head. "Why does this always happen to me?" Sound familiar? In an instant, we see ourselves as losers.

But Scripture says: "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans 8:37) 

Think about that for a moment: Jesus gave His life because He loves you. Do you really believe He now wants to take away the joys of everyday life?

But what if God sometimes allows us to lose something so that we become aware of the victory we already have? 🤔

Our victory is this: we know how the story ends. "The world and its desires pass away..." (1 John 2:17) 

Okay. And then?

"...God himself will be with them ... He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain." (Revelation 21:3–5) 

I almost want to say: It's that simple. We know how the story ends—so why do we struggle to believe it?

No matter what happens, you are not a loser—because you already know the ending of your story. Now it's up to you to believe it and trust God. 😉
