Do You Even Want to Grow?

Publication date Jul 25, 2026

Every one of us goes through seasons of overwhelm, injustice, and pressure—whether it comes from within or from the outside. And our natural response is usually. "I hope this season passes quickly!"

But what if God is allowing this season in order to help you grow?

And please don’t stop reading because you might be thinking, "Meee? I don’t even want to grow!" 🫣

Growth doesn’t always mean taking on another responsibility or doing more. No, I’m talking about a kind of growth that makes you stronger on the inside.

God doesn’t want to drive you harder. He wants to make you stronger within.

The people of Israel also went through an incredibly difficult season of injustice and pressure. The king’s big problem was that the Israelites kept growing in number—and therefore in strength. He was jealous. He was afraid. The usual issues, right?

So he made slaves out of them in an attempt to keep them small.

But you cannot keep small someone whom God wants to make great!

The Bible says, “But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread.”(Exodus 1:12

Haha, God must have gotten a real kick out of that one! It was like God saying, “Nice try!” to the king. 😄

And maybe you're experiencing something similar right now: pressure. Yet in this short passage, we already see something unexpected: pressure did not lead to Israel’s downfall—it led to their growth. Oppression could not stop God’s blessing. In fact, it became the very place where His blessing was revealed!

That doesn’t mean suffering is good or that God desires it.

But it does mean that suffering does not have the final word.

Where you reach your limits, God is still able to work! So if you're currently going through a season of pressure, overwhelm, or injustice, be assured of this:

God is allowing you to grow so that He can make you strong within!

This season will come to an end—but the blessing that comes from it will remain— if we intentionally choose growth. 🌱

You are a miracle!
