Let’s Grow a Little Together!

Publication date Jul 26, 2026

Do you know how often we say: “I can’t hear God”?

Or even, “I just can’t recognize His will for my life..?”

You know me—I’m incredibly blessed, because as the author of “A Miracle Every Day,” I basically have no choice but to open the Bible. 📖

And I don’t mean quickly pick a verse and move on. No, I really have to research, compare, understand… and that can take hours—which, surprisingly to the younger Déborah, I actually REALLY enjoy! 🤗

And it’s true—I live my faith more intentionally because of it. His Word becomes more present in my life. In difficult situations, answers and encouragement come to mind faster, because I’ve just read and truly studied them.

Believe me, I still stumble, still make mistakes, still doubt more often than I’d like to admit.  But I don’t really need someone else to point it out anymore: my heart notices it right away, and I can course correct myself. And that feels really good! Yes, that actually feels freeing!

Recently I read where Jesus said, “Pay close attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.” (Mark 4:24-25 NIV

I’m your friend, Déborah. I only spent one year at Bible school. I dropped out of my training as a legal assistant, and I didn’t have the money to pursue my dream of becoming a foreign language correspondent.

In the eyes of the world: not an impressive résumé. In God’s eyes: exactly what I needed!

➡️ An open heart. A person who knows they need Him and who wants to know more of Him.

Because God gives greater understanding to those who long for more of Him.

Can I just leave you with this question: “Do we truly long for more? Do we want to understand?”

Because according to today’s verse, we can believe this: where my heart reaches out for God, new understanding is awakened within me.

You are a miracle!
