Speak Better to Live Better! đŸ€«

Publication date Jul 27, 2026

“Did you just see them? They are so unfriendly
!”

I’m sure those words would have come out of my mouth if just a few hours earlier I hadn’t written a text for “A Miracle Every Day,” where God pointed me to a Bible verse I would have preferred to skip. đŸ˜…đŸ€

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing
Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” (Philippians 2:14-15

I was at a hotel in Bali, and a group of Germans had just arrived—which is actually quite rare there. I happily smiled at them during breakfast, but instead of a friendly reaction, I got that typical “what does she want from us?” look back.

And now, at the pool, I was talking with a man I had met a few days earlier when this German couple walked by—and I was just about to say, “Did you see them? They are so unfriendly
” when thankfully that Bible verse came back to my mind just in time

Yes, yes, I can be like that too, haha. And aren’t we all “like that” until we decide to be different?

And honestly, even though the verse came to mind, I still thought: “Ha, I could still say it. It would actually be kind of fun to have something like that to talk about
then he would agree with me, and and and
” You know the game

It costs something not to speak badly about others.

But that is exactly what God will bless!

The Bible is very clear that the wide hold their tongues! (see Proverbs 21:23).

Clear and straightforward. Do you know what helps?

Sometimes biting your tongue means first taking a good look at yourself

Not easy—but helpful. 😉

Where could you “speak better” in order to “live better”?

You are a miracle!
