Word... What? 🤷‍♀️

Publication date Aug 15, 2026

Imagine you're in the same room as that celebrity you've admired for years. Could you honestly tell your friends afterward that you "got to know" them? 🤔 Probably not...

Because to truly get to know someone, you have to talk with them. You have to listen to what they say about themselves—not just what other people say about them.

With that in mind, let's look at John 1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1–2)

At first glance, that verse can sound confusing. What does it actually mean? It has a powerful meaning, and I'm excited to explain it to you.

The "Word" refers to Jesus. And here's the amazing part: Jesus is God's way of revealing Himself to us.

Words express what someone is thinking or feeling. They reveal what's in a person's heart. And by sending Jesus to earth, God showed us exactly what He is like—how He thinks, what He desires, and what He originally intended for humanity.

So, if we had to summarize Jesus in just a few words, He was:

❤️ Full of love.❤️ Full of grace.❤️ Full of wisdom.❤️ Full of truth.

Here's what that means for you and me today:

If you want to know what God is really like, don't start with what other people say about Him. Don't start with people's opinions.

Look at Jesus.

Remember what we said?

To truly get to know someone, you have to talk with them. You have to listen to what they say about themselves—not just what others say about them.

Never forget: People can explain God to you, but Jesus shows you who God is.

Do you want to know God the Father personally?

You are a miracle!
