How Your Faith Doesn't Wither!
Do you have a small balcony? Or maybe you even have a large terrace where beautiful plants are blooming. 🌷🪴🌸
Whether it's a single potted plant or an entire garden—when summer gets hot, you know you need to take time every day to give your flowers and plants enough water.
The option of saying, "I'll do it another time" simply isn't there. Because you know exactly what the consequences will be: No water = the plant dies.
And when the heat is intense, it may even mean watering twice a day. If you have a larger garden, it can take a significant amount of time.
I know you already know this. But today I want to remind you that it is no different with a living faith in Jesus.
And not only when life gets hot and difficult.
Even when you are relaxing on summer vacation, it's important not to neglect your relationship with God.
Let's hear what God says:
"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7–8)
Wow, that's what I want. Don't you?
In short, here's what we’ve learned today:
No water = a plant withers. It is still there, but it no longer looks truly alive.
And it's the same with your faith.
No quiet time with God = faith withers. It is still there, but it is no longer truly alive.
What a beautiful reminder this is. Because this isn't about. "You have to, you have to, you have to..."
It's about: "Don't forget your wonderful God, who wants to walk through today with you!"
Wow!
When we remember to water our hearts, God's love can continue to flow!
You are a miracle!
