Living in the Freedom of Healing
I ran into “Rick” the other day. He was meeting with a young man to talk about a tough topic. A part of Rick’s story is that he once pressured his college girlfriend into having an abortion, but now, he uses that “scar” as a way of helping other young men recover from the trauma and grief of taking the life of their unborn child.
He is a walking “trophy” of how God’s grace can use “scars” to heal! Jesus must be SO proud of him!!!
Spiritual healing is not a one-time moment—it is a journey of walking daily in the freedom God provides.
I have learned that I must continually choose to live healed, not just remember that healing is available.
There will always be reminders of the past, but they no longer have authority over my identity. My identity is rooted in what God says about me, not what I have done. When I embrace this truth, I am free to live with confidence and peace.
David’s life shows me that failure is not final when God is involved! His story moved from sin to repentance to restoration. That same trajectory is available to me.
Freedom comes when I stop rehearsing condemnation and start rehearsing grace. It is sustained through worship, obedience, and daily surrender. I want to remind you of this verse today:
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1, NIV)
Anything that sounds like condemnation is NOT coming from Jesus! This verse anchors my identity. Condemnation no longer defines me—Christ does!
Today, I choose to live free. I will walk forward without carrying the weight of past condemnation. I will embrace the healing God has given me and continue to grow in Him. I want to invite you to join me in the same place as we claim victory in the miraculous name of Jesus!!!
Father, thank You for the freedom I have in Christ. Help me to live daily in the reality of Your grace and not return to condemnation. Strengthen me to walk in identity, purpose, and peace. Continue Your healing work in me and through me. Amen.
Never forget my friend—
You are a miracle!
