Would You Like to Be Rich?

Publication date Oct 21, 2026

Would you like to have a different life?

I once had the opportunity to marry a very wealthy man. I was very much in love with him, and he was in love with me, but unfortunately, one thing was missing: He didn’t love God. ❤️‍🩹

And so, despite everything, I chose not to marry him. By making that decision—without realizing it at the time—I was choosing the calling I have today: being the author of A Miracle Every Day.

➡️ Because the decision about who you allow into your lifealso determines what your life will become.

Sometimes I sit with friends and tell them “about those days.” Every time, one of them says: “Wow, Déborah, with a man like that by your side, everything would have been easier. You wouldn’t have to worry about money anymore…” 😉

For a moment, David had similar thoughts. He said: “But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked…They are free from common human burdens; they are not plagued by human ills.” (Psalms 73:2-5, NIV) https://www.bible.com/bible/111/PSA.73.2-5.NIV

Maybe those thoughts occasionally swirl around your head too: Why? Why, Lord, does everything have to be so hard?

David thought that too, until (and I love this part of Psalm 73) he realized something. He says:  “When I tried to understand all this, it troubled me deeply till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.” (Psalm 73:16-17, NIV)

This verse shows us what happens when a person loves God more than luxury: They find answers because they bring their questions into God’s presence.

And today, I also want to encourage you to bring all the questions that are keeping you up at night—the ones no human being can answer—into His presence.

Your questions find answers in His presence!

Because: “Surely God is good.” (Psalm 73:1, NIV)

Would you simply say that out loud today?

“Surely God is truly good.” (Psalm 73:1, NIV)

You are a miracle!
