Freed from Suffering! š
Iām sure you know this encouraging verse from the Psalms: āThe righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.ā (Psalm 34:19, NLT)
But every now and then, donāt you wonder: Okay, but what exactly does this mean? Will I be freed from suffering here on earth? Or only in eternity?
I want to encourage you to always ask your questions. Ask your pastor, people who are further along in their faith, or God Himself.
I often bring my questions to my family. Itās a great way to start conversations around the kitchen table or while weāre sitting together at a cafĆ©. āŗļøRecently, I noticed the couple at the table next to us listening in very intently.
You never know who else might receive answersBecause you asked your questions.
But back to the verse: Does it mean that God will free us from all suffering here on earth?
Iād like to share a helpful answer from the Stamps Study Bible:
āOur suffering must be balanced with the knowledge that God desires to deliver us from all distress. When His purposes have been accomplishedāthe purposes for which He allowed difficultiesāHe will either deliver us through a supernatural intervention in this life or through a victorious death that carries us into eternal life with Him.ā
One thing is certain: When God delivers you, it ALWAYS results in victory! š
Thereās something you should never forget: Godās deliverance ALWAYS has a purposeāto draw you closer to His heart. ā¤ļø
Letās be really honest about this for a moment.
Most of the time, weāre actually closer to His heart while weāre still waiting for our miracleā¦But when we finally receive it, weāre quick to move on to the next thing, arenāt we? š«£
Take this thought with you today:
When God makes you wait, maybe He simply enjoys having you close to Him⦠ā¤ļø
You are a miracle!
