God Has MORE For You!

It is really on my heart to start today with these words: God has MORE for you!

And I know how hard it can be to believe that when everything seems like it’s actually less… 

When you’re perhaps living out your faith less consistently or praying less. When your bank account balance is less than ever, or when there is less love in your family.

May I make a suggestion? What if, even in the midst of feeling like you have “less”, you decide to give MORE—more love, more time, more listening? And yes, once again, MORE time with God.

I was recently struck by a moment when my neighbor gave me a huge zucchini from her garden, and her five-year-old son immediately responded, “but mom, that’s the biggest one we have! We should keep that one!”

Without hesitation, my friend looked over at her little garden, where the next—and even bigger—zucchinis were already growing.

He thought: “If we give away the biggest one, we’ll have less.” But, she knew there were more coming. 

What if God is looking at your life in the same way today?

You see what has become less.God sees what is already growing.

You see what you would have to give away.God sees what He can entrust you with.

How often do we hold on to something because we are afraid that, in the end, we won’t have enough? 

God invites us to trust Him because the “less” you have today is not the end of your story.

 Proverbs 11 says: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:25, NIV).  

When God is your source, you can be sure there will ALWAYS be more growing 😉(see Psalms 36:5-9).  

You don’t have to have MORE before you can give MORE.

Sometimes MORE begins when you place whatever little you have into God’s hands because He has MORE for you!

You are a miracle!
