Believe More Than You See!
Have you ever wondered why things seem to go more easily for other Christians?
It seems like their ministry is growing; everything they take on works out; they have beautiful, healthy families; and they don’t seem to be lacking financially either.
And then there’s you…
Feeling like no matter what you take on, it eventually gets difficult, maybe even depending on other people financially. And even though you pray and keep going, things remain hard.
First, you should ask yourself these important questions:
➡️ “Is what I am working so hard for actually bearing fruit?”
And also:
➡️ “Could God possibly want something completely different for my life?”
Once you’ve answered those questions, I want to encourage you today with Paul’s words.
If anyone had a hard time, it was Paul. But his work bore much fruit! That’s why he writes exactly about these kinds of situations.
The Christians in Corinth were pretty full of themselves. It was as if they were in the VIP lounge of heaven, spiritually already there while everyone else was still on their way.
With a healthy dose of irony, Paul addresses them, saying: “You think you already have everything you need. You think you are already rich. You have begun to reign in God’s kingdom without us!...” (1 Corinthians 4:8)
Essentially, he’s saying: “Interesting…my life looks very different right now.”
Paul knew hunger, rejection, exhaustion, and opposition all too well. And yet, he did not lose heart!
Why?
Because he knew that nothing is quite as it seems.
The Bible says, “if we endure, we will also reign with him” (2 Timothy 2:12)
And that was the certainty that carried him. Paul believed it wholeheartedly.
This is Pauline thinking: Building your life more on God’s promises than on what your eyes tell you.
This isn’t positive thinking—this is trust.
Which thought is influencing you more right now?
What you see, or what God has promised you?
You are a miracle!
