Personal Miracles from a father/Dalton
I hope and pray that you are ready to hear another amazing story from a fellow A Miracle Every Day reader. I am still shaking from reading this incredible act of God from our brother, Dalton.
"In 2023, our firstborn child was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney (CCSK). It is a rare form of kidney cancer in kids. We were devastated and shattered to pieces. From the time he was diagnosed up to this point, we have only been dependent on Jesus. We knelt down, prayed, and asked for the Almighty’s mercy and guidance. The first Bible verse that my wife got from God was:"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." (John 9:3, NIV)
From that point onwards we truly knew it wasn’t an illness that would destroy our son. But it was something that would build him, and most importantly us, as parents. We learned a lot from our relationship with God…God speaks. At the most important and needful moment in our lives, we experienced listening to the voice of God. He speaks through missionaries, men of God, Bible verses, visions, 'A Miracle Every Day' (through Déborah and Pastor Grant), and most importantly through the Holy Spirit. We experienced all these in the space of 10 months. God truly assured us that He listens to our prayers, has seen our tears, and will answer our prayers. We just need to obey His words and stay firm in faith, patiently.Within this period, our son went through surgery, chemotherapy for six months, radiotherapy for 6 sessions, multiple scans, and countless hospital visits. Through all these, we witnessed God’s hands in the midst of us. Comforting us, guiding us, protecting us, teaching us, and molding us. Throughout these difficult times, we never sought any form of help from anyone. God provided. More than what we asked for or needed.Romans 8:28 is a verse that God kept reminding us about: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28, NIV)We knew that God had a greater and bigger purpose in the midst of the turbulence that we were going through. Never did we feel abandoned or hopeless. We had the utmost faith in the Almighty that we are definitely winning the battle. with the Almighty by our side. No one, no sickness, and nothing can stand against Him!Finally, God gave us this verse when we asked if our son would be OK – Exodus 14:13-14: "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." (Exodus 14:13-14, NIV) That’s when we knew, he’s completely healed and there’s nothing to worry about. The Egyptians you see today you will see no more simply means, whatever we faced, whatever we went through, it will never happen again. It can only mean complete healing and deliverance. All we need to do is to stay calm and have faith. Our son’s CT scan was done very recently and everything is fine! All glory, praise and honor to the One and Only Jesus Christ!I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all of you today, no matter what you face in life, trust God, trust His timing. He will never fail us…Luke 1:37: 'For with God, nothing shall be impossible.'" (Luke 1:37, NIV)
