Rejoice today!
Are you familiar with those "little things" that can steal your joy?
They're insidious and can ruin the most beautiful day in no time…that is, if we don't look closely and see through them!
For example, I recently had an amazing day and wanted to take some time to read through the email feedback we receive from A Miracle Every Day readers. I love it when I'm able to read how God has encouraged people through these "miracle emails"!
There were SO many uplifting emails I got to read…I was completely blown away! Reading them always really encourages me in my work, too, of course. :-) But then I saw it: that one email that just wasn't very positive. The reader found the texts to be "just ok."
Questions immediately arose in my heart, paired with disappointment. But gratefully, I've learned by now to respond immediately in the ways God shows me. As I follow His lead, He teaches me, and He helps me expose what's attempting to steal my joy. This time, it only took me a few seconds to pinpoint the lie the enemy wanted me to believe: "That reader said my texts are 'just ok,' so I must be 'just ok'..."
friend, how do we unmask these kinds of lies and "joy stealers"? With the truth! (see John 8:32)
The truth is that no matter how many positive things you read or hear, the devil will always try to make you only see the one that's negative. And then he will capitalize on it as much as he can! "'The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…'" (John 10:10, NIV).
But the truth is also that the devil has no power over God's children—unless we give it to him! For the One who really has all power goes on to say in the same verse, "'...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.'" (John 10:10, NIV)
Jesus wants to give you this abundant life every day—including today! And, friend, He never says to you, "I think you're 'just ok'!" He thinks so highly of you that He wants you to have the best day possible. He wants you to be surrounded by His love and empowered by His joy, no matter what the enemy's tactics may be! Don't forget that God's Word says, "This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it…" (Psalm 118:24, NKJV)!
Let His joy be with you today. Rejoice, friend! Rejoice in Him today! :-)
You are a miracle!
