Rushing for the Good

Publication date Oct 5, 2024

“Another rush this morning... but we’re rushing for the good!”

I had just prepared and sent my mother a few texts for “Un Miracle Chaque Jour”, the French version of “A Miracle Every Day, while I was making recordings of the new texts, and it was only 08:30 AM..

As I sent her the voice message: “Another rush this morning,  but we’re rushing for the good!” I had to laugh with joy because I really meant it! It was and is not a burden for me because I know it will bear fruit! What a blessing!

And immediately, a question came to my mind that I would also like to share with you, friend: Where in your life are you possibly rushing for something that doesn’t benefit you?

And: Where are you rushing for something that actually brings harm into your life? In other words: What is causing stress in your life because you’re rushing for it, even though you know it’s burning you out?

Be careful not to rush for something that will burn you out in the long run!

What do I mean by that? Maybe you’re doing something right now that you know would shock everyone if they found out. Maybe it’s even an affair... you’re rushing to make it possible, to meet this person, and you’re making up stories, but the fear of being caught in this lie is causing enormous stress.

Where are you rushing, friend? Are you rushing for the good or the bad?

Today, a well-intentioned, lovingly packaged note from Galatians 5…

“You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?” (Galatians 5:7 NIV)

friend, if you feel “caught” today, please feel “caught in love.” Because God wants you to rush for the good so that you don’t burn out!

He means well for you, friend !

You are a miracle!
