The Good, Bad and…supportive? The Miracle of Family.

Publication date Nov 23, 2023

Thank you for joining me for Miracle Week on A Miracle Every Day.

An amazing blessing in my life is hosting the weekly “LIVE” Question and Response time through the Jesus.net YouTube channel. On these, I often answer questions from marriages that are in deep trouble. Another theme that comes up regularly is the broken relationships with family. Each time that I answer a tough family/marriage question, I am so thankful for this miracle promise from Psalm 34:17-20:

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;he protects all his bones; not one of them will be broken.” (Psalm 34:17-20, NIV

friend, those words were written for you. In your pain, you can turn towards the Lord, who promises deliverance and protection. Listen to this story that comes from broken relationships that God is transforming into something new!

“...But my husband and I have gathered our faith, commitment, love, and determination and placed it all in God’s hands to use for his will. Some days, I’m angry or sad. Some days I feel defeated or that no matter how hard I work, I won’t get where God wants me, but a tiny notification pops up on my phone that I have a new email. Some days, it’s hard to click on it, but I always click on it, and I’m always inspired. Because most days, A Miracle Everyday’s email is exactly what I needed to hear to remind me I am enough. That the pain, abuse, and loss that I have suffered has a purpose. That God has big plans for me, my ex-husband, my other half, and all our children. But on the days I’ve read my emails and scriptures, those things can’t touch me because God has got me, and I’m only useful to him. So, thank you for reminding me every morning that I’m always HIS and that nothing in my life is as bad as not having him. I can’t go back, and with the support and love God shows me every day through other believers in A Miracle Everyday, I’ll never be that weak again.” – Kayla

Even in the middle of relational pain, God shows up and brings beauty from ashes! God uses His word and His miraculous power to help us rise above our broken situation and to trust fully in His love and direction.

My friend, the same Jesus who is walking with Kayla, wants to walk with you as well. I can bear witness to the miraculous power of Jesus in my own relationships. God has blessed me with an amazing wife and two amazing kids! I have so much more than I deserve, and hopefully, my gratitude comes through every day. This note from Peggy seems to indicate that my gratitude is apparent!

“So thankful for A Miracle Every Day! My husband and I started with Paul. Enjoyed him so much. Miss him. But praise the Lord for Grant. We love having him speak God’s word into our lives every morning. His sincere love for God is noticed in every devotion. His love for his wife and family is evident. He loves like Jesus does, and we pray for him and this ministry. Thank you!” – Peggy

No, Peggy, thank you! My friend, take all of your relationships to Jesus right now. Pray over them. Ask Jesus for a miraculous breakthrough in your family.  He wants to say YES!

Never forget, you are a miracle!
