The Sun Came Out

Hello, friend! 

I was up early enough to watch the sunrise this morning. It was breathtaking!

As the sun rose above the mountain in the east, I was struck by what a difference a day makes.  Yesterday was filled with rain, wind, clouds and even some hail. The weather seemed to change by the minute and the weather patterns moved back and forth like a windshield wiper on a car (which you needed all day because of the rain!).

Yesterday was stormy and blustery. Today was bright and clear, and the sun dominated everything as it reflected off of the snow on the top of the mountain.

This was the truth that hit me. Even yesterday, the sun was always there. The sun is there every single day and no matter what gets in the way, the truth of its presence is a reminder that God is always there and always faithful.

friend, no matter what may cross your path today, no matter how intense the wind of adversity may press against you, no matter how dense the fog of uncertainty may be, the SON is always there, and He will shine through it all!

Join in the praise of the Son from the book of Psalms!

Give thanks to the Lord of lords:

“His love endures forever.

 to him who alone does great wonders,

His love endures forever.

 who by his understanding made the heavens,

His love endures forever.

 who spread out the earth upon the waters,

His love endures forever.

 who made the great lights—

His love endures forever.

 the sun to govern the day,

His love endures forever.”

(Psalm 136:7-8, NIV)  

friend, as you feel the sun on your face today, as it lights your way back and forth to work, as you feel the warmth of God’s creation, take a moment and just thank God for the sun. Thank Him for the fact that the Son is always there, with healing in His wings (See Malachi 4:2). Thank Him that he was with you through the stormy weather of life. Thank Him for His faithfulness.

The words of Jeremiah the prophet was written in a season of stormy weather. Despite all that was happening around him, he wrote:

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24, NIV) 

The miracle of today is that SON always shines. Worship Him! Thank Him!

You are a miracle!
