Two steps forward, one step back...

Today, co-writer Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of "A Miracle Every Day". I pray his message and audio will bless you today. -- The coronavirus seems to have forced us to reevaluate our lives and priorities. All sports leagues have been canceled, restaurants closed, casinos closed, cafes closed, and church buildings and schools have also been closed. Has this felt like a huge setback for you? I’m a very competitive person, and I don’t like losing. It doesn’t matter if it’s backgammon or ice hockey; competition has been drilled into me. Sometimes it’s even gotten the better of me.  friend, how about you? Have you ever really lost your composure in a board game or life? I’ll never forget the day I really embarrassed myself. Denise and I were playing backgammon at her parents’ home. I won the first game but lost the second. I thought to myself, “Oh, beginner’s luck.” Then the third game took a turn for the worse. I was winning the game, but things got ugly. My fiancé had only one chance to win: throw double sixes with the dice. She threw the dice, and I threw the board in the air in anger.  Her family saw the whole tragedy, so I ran up to a bedroom and hid in shame. Moments later, Denise, her mom, and her brother walked into the room and asked me to help them become Christians. In my shock, I asked them, “Why?” Their answer changed my view of God and myself. They said, “Because if you can become a Christian, anyone can.”  friend, you may have had 100 setbacks and failures, but God still loves you. He’s going to help you grow through this. The Bible tells us: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28, NKJV) Not everything is good, but God can even take the worst things and bring good out of them. Please, don’t forget your setbacks can become your greatest comebacks. You’re a miracle. Paul Marc Goulet -- Thank you, Paul Marc, for sharing this today!
