Was That Really You Now, God?
"I too am still waiting for a great miracle in my life..."
I wrote these words to you in an email just recently, and shortly thereafter, an opportunity to get closer to this miracle opened up! It was not in the way I would have wished. I would have to work for this miracle first (possibly even for years).
Ah, I hadn't imagined it like that, God, I thought, and no matter who I talked to, everyone said, "You can't do that too; you don't have the time."
This situation became more confusing all the time. "Jesus, what is YOUR will in all this now? I’ve prayed so hard for this, now You are opening a door, but this looks like a big time investment. Do I have the strength, the faith for this, to invest so much again without knowing if it is really worth it?"
friend, can it be that you are also asking yourself this question?
You're waiting for your miracle, maybe in your marriage, maybe you want to finally be free, maybe even in the area of your health, and instead of an instant miracle, God says you will need to invest time and energy in this one more time.
That morning when I had to make the decision, I opened my devotional book and there was the familiar story of Jesus saying to Simon, "...Let down your nets for a catch…" (Luke 5:4 NIV), after they had been out all night and had caught nothing.
The disciples likely felt the same way. "Jesus, we need a miracle!" But He said, "Then invest in this one more time!" One more time...we don't like to hear that. Are we perhaps not hearing God speak because we don't want to hear what He is saying?
friend, I have decided to invest in my miracle one more time! Are you joining in too?
Thank you for you!
You are a miracle!
