What are you doing to please God?

I mean the question seriously: What are you doing to please God?
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, when you serve at church, “God will surely forgive my mistakes now…” Or: “Jesus did so much for me—I should at least do something for Him.”
If that thought comes from a sense of obligation, it’s off base. 😉😳
Of course, Jesus did do so much for you! The cross is the ultimate proof. But even before that—just the decision to leave heaven and make His way to your heart… Wow, wow, wow.
Yes, Jesus left heaven just to make His way to your heart. ❤️
And then we humans somehow believe that our good works—“I help clean the church after service” or “I’m always kind, I never gossip”—could possibly carry the same weight? 🤔
friend, if I started thinking like that, I’d be under crazy pressure! Because nothing we do will ever be enough. And that’s exactly why God wanted you to understand this:
God wants to give you what you’ve been trying so hard to earn. Woooow! 🎁🎁
Let’s look at Romans 10, where Paul writes: “I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.” (Romans 10:2–4 NLT)
Do you see how deep this truth goes, friend?
I could lay down my pen today, never write another “miracle text,” never write another song—and still, my salvation wouldn’t change. Not because God doesn’t love when I write—He does! But because His love was never based on my performance to begin with. ❤️
That’s just how God is: Your place before Him is a gift, not a reward. Because it’s already yours. 🎁
Let that truth sink in—deeply. And why not start right now by simply thanking Him for it?
You are a miracle!
