What have you been putting off?

Publication date Sep 25, 2022

Oh, how I love it when those letters from the IRS arrive! Don't you, friend? I'm joking, of course. To be honest, though, every now and again, I'll receive one of those letters simply because I didn't file my tax return on time…and that's entirely on me! Of course, I'll have a thousand excuses why I didn't do it: "I'm on tour most of the time and just can't keep up at home," "I need someone to do it for me," etc.

Do you ever make excuses like this? Do you know there are certain things you have to do, but you still put them off again and again?

Let's face it—we can spin things however we may want, but our responsibilities are still our responsibility: "He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap." (Ecclesiastes 11:4, NKJV)

friend, what is it in your life that you keep putting off until "later"? Everything we put off takes up space in our thoughts, robbing us of strength and joy. And every now and then, after we've ignored reminder after reminder, we end up having to pay a premium for our procrastination.

It's with this in mind that I'd like to encourage you today, friend: do what is possible for you, and you'll see God step in for you. He will do the impossible that you just couldn't do!

Consider this: we could never have paid for all our sins ourselves—Jesus knew that. That's why He did the impossible and died on the cross to ransom us. Now we must each do what is possible for us (entrusting our lives to Him) in order to accept this gift!

But take a moment and imagine—what if Jesus had said, "Ah, I'll die for them later, like 10,000 years from now"? If He had, it would've been fatal for us! But because He said YES to the Father's divine timing, you can receive His gift today!

Don't you also want to hear the Father say to you, "...'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things…'"? (Matthew 25:21, AMP)

friend, I encourage you today—say YES, accomplish what you can do, and leave the rest to God. He will help you go through life strong! :-)

You are a miracle!
