What makes you tick, friend?

Publication date Jul 21, 2020
Today, co-writer Paul Marc Goulet wrote the message of "A Miracle Every Day". I pray his message and audio will bless you today. -- Have you ever heard of a message in a bottle? Picture people who are stranded on a desert island. They have no food and just a little water. After a few weeks, they are dying of hunger, so they decide to write a letter, put it in an empty bottle and thrust it into the sea. They hope someone will find it one day and read it.  The messages are generally simple but so profound: “I’m so sorry, tell the kids that I love them. And darling, I’ll wait for you in heaven.”  friend, if you were in this same situation, what would your last words be? What message do you want the whole world to know about who you are? What do you want to scream from the mountaintops? Paul wrote several letters to churches. The epistles have helped shape Christianity for almost 2,000 years. Did you notice how he described himself?
  1. “For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.” (1 Corinthians 15:9, NIV)
  2. “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31, NIV)
  3. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13, NKJV)
  4. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—” (Ephesians 2:8, NIV)
Paul made it clear that he believed in reconciliation, unity and equality.  “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28, NIV) Paul took a massive stand for principles that were completely against the culture of the first century. He was rejected by his Jewish peers, persecuted for his belief in Christ and killed for his fearless stand in salvation through grace and not works.  Paul knew what he believed in because he knew who he was in Christ. friend, do you know who you are in Christ? You are amazing, forgiven and loved by God! You have incredible peace because you know that you are a child of God.  Things are crazy in the world right now, but you’re not crazy. The Prince of Peace is in you: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7, NIV)   You spread peace to others because you have peace.  friend, you’re a miracle.  Paul Marc Goulet -- Thank you, Paul Marc, for sharing this today!
