Where there's a will, there's a way, friend!
I remember my cooking teacher telling us, "No one has ever gotten an A in my class!" She had worked in her profession for many, many years, and her announcement echoed in my mind long after the first lesson. I was a very insecure student, but I was good at setting goals and then giving it my all.
To make a long story short, the teacher herself was stunned when she couldn't help but give me an A on the final exam after two years of vocational school. But how did this happen?
1. Insecure Déborah was afraid. But the secure God within her gave her courage: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV)
2. Insecure Déborah wanted to give up before even starting. The secure God within her continued to encourage her to "'...Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.'" (Joshua 1:9, NKJV)
3. Insecure Déborah hardly dared to plan something that seemed unattainable. But the secure God within her said, "Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed." (Proverbs 16:3, NLT)
friend, whatever God has placed in your heart to do, I'd encourage you to heed these three things:
1. Don't be afraid!
2. Be courageous and determined!
3. Entrust yourself to God!
Please don't let negative words or fear hold you back…God still has so much in store for you! Keep faith in Him, even if your great goals or dreams seem unattainable at the moment. Release your insecurity to God, resting in His security. With your secure God strengthening you, you can accomplish anything! (see Psalms 18:29)
friend, I'm excited to praise God with you as He does wonders in your life!
You are a miracle!
