Who have you given THAT place to?

When you think of your best friend, your closest companion, or your spouse—what did you look for when deciding to give that person such an important place in your life?
Did you first evaluate how “high-performing” they are? 😅 Probably not. Did you notice their actions, driven by love? Probably more likely. ☺️
And here’s something that tends to get forgotten in our time: God didn’t create us to be high-performing. He created us to be alive!
According to the dictionary, “alive” means: “full of life, not dead. Present in consciousness.”
Now we live in a world that constantly tells us: “Optimize yourself. Automate. Use AI—it’s more efficient, more accurate, faster.”
And yes, that’s true. AI is more high-performing than you. It can write, translate, and analyze texts in seconds. It never gets tired…
➡️ But: It will never hug you. It will never hear you cry. It will never understand you when you don’t even know how to put your feelings into words.
So again: God didn’t create us to be high-performing, but to be alive.
Humans are present. Humans feel. Humans connect.
So the question isn’t whether AI can do things well, but whether it can replace what makes you and others human. So, when you are considering how to use AI or integrate it into your work, think about this: Do you really want to give such an important place in your life entirely to AI?
Because AI can be a very useful tool, but it does not come close to how uniquely God made YOU to be.
This brings new depth to the well-known Psalm 139: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14 NIV)
We could also say: “I praise you because the people around me are so wonderfully and uniquely made.”
Don’t forget: AI can impress—but only people can touch hearts. ❤️
You are a miracle! 💛
