“Why doesn’t your neighbor want to talk to you?”

“Why doesn’t your neighbor want to talk to you?” …Or should I ask, “Why don’t YOU want to talk to your neighbor, friend?”

I’m going to say right away what I think: EVERY PERSON in your life has been placed there by God on your path!

Why? Because we can read it black and white: “[He] wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4 NIV). And who better to reach the heart of your neighbor than you?

“How am I supposed to do that, Déborah?” you might ask. I almost want to say: “Don’t be weird,” haha. 😂 And you know exactly what I mean, friend. Often, Christians think they have to bend over backward or appear especially pious. That they have to “come across as perfect”… no, no, no.

Do you know when we get the most feedback with A Miracle Every Day? When I write texts where I admit: “Wow, I totally messed up.” Or, “I don’t feel God right now.”

HONESTY leads to good times!

And so you can bless your neighbors on good days with rolls from the bakery or flowers—and on bad days, you can openly say: “Hey, I’m not doing well either. So I can really relate to your situation. But I have to say, my faith is giving me incredible strength right now.” Bam! You’ve “shared” your faith without coming across as weird.

And at best, you invite your neighbors over for a cozy evening—building relationships. friend, we don’t have to “ambush” people with our faith, trust me: As we love, everything else will happen naturally.

And don’t underestimate what God will suddenly make possible while you do what you can.

“[He] wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:4 NIV).

Will you dare today to invite your neighbors or coworkers for a cozy evening?

You are a miracle!
