With God’s Help
How are you, friend?
I've now had the third consecutive night where, for no apparent reason, I couldn't sleep. But you know what? I'm still looking forward to this day! This morning, these words slipped out of my mouth: "Thank you, Jesus, that today I will live not from my own strength, but from Yours!"
The author Nancy Naigle, who writes many books for women, once said:
"Live your life in such a way that when your feet touch the ground in the morning, the devil shudders and says, 'Oh no, she's awake!'"
I really like that statement, friend. Because you should be aware that the devil is fighting. Yes, he's fighting to claim you. He's fighting to claim your family. He's fighting and fighting because he knows exactly how strong you are when you get moving with God!
He knows that you are someone who can speak hope into the heart of another person who is without hope. He knows that you are someone who will smile and be kind. He knows that you will see the person who is overlooked by others. He doesn't like that—because he hates the light.
So if you're fighting against something right now, it doesn't necessarily mean you're on the wrong path! Perhaps you are so on the right path, and that's why your foe is trying to stop you.
You think the devil is making your life difficult, when in fact, you're the person spoiling his fun!
You think the devil is putting obstacles in your way, when in fact, you're the one putting a stop sign in front of him.
friend, when you get up today, it won't be the devil ruining your plans, but you will thwart his plans—with God’s help!
In the Bible it says:
"...Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you…" (James 4:7-8 NLT)
Get up: Not on your own, but with His strength!
You are a miracle!
