You gotta have faith! ✝️

Publication date Dec 12, 2020

The pop singer George Michael was famous for the song “You gotta have faith.” I love the beat and that critical statement—you gotta have faith.

Faith is the second theme of the Advent season, and it’s the most important one because the Bible says, “...without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV)

What is faith to you? What does it mean, and how can we get it?

The word “faith” in the Bible means beliefs. You and I all have faith. We believe in God or not, we believe in ourselves or not, and we can believe lies or the truth.

friend, what do you believe, and whom do you believe in?

The Bible defines faith. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1, NIV)  So, healthy faith is based on hope and the assurance that God loves us and rewards us.

During this Advent season, would you ask God for more faith as the disciples did? I can guarantee He will answer your prayer, and it will start with you evaluating and changing your beliefs. Please allow me to give you examples of how my belief system changed after I started my health journey.

  1. I now believe...God loves me and has a wonderful plan for my life.
  2. I now believe...I’m an ambassador for Christ.
  3. I now believe...my life has purpose. I’m the salt and light of the earth.
  4. I now believe...I can live a fearless life while I work and wait for His second coming.

friend, can you make a list of your beliefs? Can you agree and make my list yours? I believe this Advent season will help you build a stronger and healthier faith.

Because you’re a miracle.
