You have a seat at the table 🍞

Publication date Sep 10, 2025

Some of my warmest childhood memories happened around the dinner table.

The scent of fresh baguettes. Laughter echoing through the room. The joy of being together.

I didn’t realize it then, but something sacred was happening.

That table wasn’t just about food—it was about belonging.

Jesus invites you to a table like that. When He taught us to pray, He said:

“Our Father in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9 NIV)

He didn’t say my Father. He said our. From the very first word, Jesus brought us together.

He gave us a place around His Father’s table—yours and mine.

A few years ago, I visited Mount Athos, a deeply traditional Orthodox monastery. As an evangelical, I found everything foreign—icons, incense, chants. But then I felt the Father whisper in my heart:

“They are My children too.”

🧡 There is one table. One Father. And you’re invited to sit down—just as you are.

Today’s miracle thought: You’re not a guest—you’re family.

You are a miracle!
