You Have Something to Give!
In my school days, I was chosen to participate in the national youth games with the best athletes in my school. However, I was neither good at long jump, nor could I run fast. Throwing was my specialty.
I was insecure, because what's the use of being good in only one of three disciplines? When I saw the strong opponents I would be competing against, I wanted to sink into the ground…until I heard my name: "That's Déborah Rosenkranz; she can throw really far! Do you know anyone who throws farther than her?"
At that moment I realized that I was dangerous for my opponents! I hadn't realized that because I was only looking at what I couldn't do.
friend, you play on the winning team, and they need you on this team with what only you can contribute! You have something to give, so don't let your fear take that away! Your opponent, the devil, is aware of how dangerous you can become to him! He thinks to himself: "Oh no, this is friend, a child of God! If he/she realizes that God believes in him/her, I won't have a chance!"
"...I have summoned you by name; you are mine." (Isaiah 43:1 NIV)
friend, that's what God says to you! If you still doubt whether you are really on the winning team and are not sure whether you are a child of God, feel free to pray this prayer with me:
"Jesus, thank You that this means me too! Thank You for dying on the cross for me and calling me by my name today! And I say YES! I consciously give You my life today! Amen."
If you prayed along with this prayer, please feel free to let us know by responding to this email. We’d love to celebrate this step with you!
You are a miracle!
