You’re…

“You’re…” When people recognize me on the street or in a church and say that, I usually know how the sentence will end: “You’re Déborah Rosenkranz.”
Once, a woman kept repeating, “You’re, you’re…” and my friends standing next to me were just waiting for the usual ending we all knew. But then she said: “You’re Michael’s sister—the one who leads worship so powerfully.”
That was unexpected! But honestly, as a sister, I was thrilled to hear those words about my brother.
Now imagine a moment like that about 2,000 years ago. No social media. No TV. Nothing. And there He is—this “famous” man, Jesus—performing miracles and spreading love. Everyone is amazed and wants to be near Him.
One woman just can’t hold back her admiration. She sees Jesus, thinking, “You’re…” before calling out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” (Luke 11:27 NLT)
She focuses on Jesus’ background—on His earthly family. And even though Jesus came from a strong and healthy family, He didn’t respond by saying, “You’re right, my family is amazing, and my mom is the best.” Why not? I’d love to explain:
Jesus isn’t looking for “more for Himself”—He wants you to find more for yourself!
So He answered: “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” (Luke 11:28 NLT)
Because, your life isn’t changed by admiring someone else's story or family background. Your life is changed when you listen to the voice of your Father in Heaven—and live it out!
That’s why it doesn’t matter what kind of family you grew up in, because it’s not about what status your earthly family has. It’s about the fact that your Heavenly Father has made you His child. 👑
So take a moment today and let this sink in: You are a miracle!
