The 7 Wonders of the Cross in Jerusalem
In this video series on The 7 Wonders of the Cross in Jerusalem, author and speaker Wilkin van de Kamp travels to Jerusalem in search of the seven places where Jesus’ blood was shed to discover what this means for us.
Wilkin will take you to the iconic city of Jerusalem, where the most momentous events in Christian history took place. Guided by his knowledge and the rich history of this holy city, he explores the Stations of the Cross and examines the profound meaning and impact of Christ's suffering on world history.

Each episode is a journey through time, as Wilkin combines biblical descriptions, archaeological discoveries, and historical context with personal reflections and powerful visual images of holy sites. From the condemnation of Jesus to His redemption on the cross, the series offers an in-depth look at the events that shaped the foundations of Christianity.

#1 The Wonder of Forgiveness
The first installment includes a look at the Garden of Gethsemane, where the most dramatic battle in world history took place. The unique images and gripping story make you more aware than ever of what Jesus endured during the last 18 hours of his life—a message never before portrayed in this way.

#2 The Wonder of Redemption
The road to Calvary was a difficult one. How was Jesus led through Jerusalem on the way to the cross? What did it mean to carry the cross at that time?
In the second episode, Wilkin visits the place where the most spectacular moment happened during the last 18 hours of Jesus' life. In addition, he explores the remains of the palace of the high priest Annas to discover what the second miracle of the cross means to us.
The unique images and moving story take you back in time, 2,000 years ago, to realize how Jesus suffered in the last 18 hours before his death.

#3 The Wonder of Purification
In the third episode, Wilkin visits a place where Jesus almost certainly walked, where his blood soaked the earth for the third time.
At the end of this episode, Wilkin tells the true story of Hans. After 30 years of living under the terror of nightmares, Hans found rest, peace, and silence through the miracle of the cross. His moving story takes you into the last 18 hours of Jesus’s life so that you, too, can realize what He did for you.

#4 The Wonder of Healing
In the fourth episode, Wilkin descends into the deep basement of a nunnery in ancient Jerusalem. Here he discovers the Roman pavement of the courtyard where Jesus was questioned, scourged, and condemned. At this historic site, Wilkin wonders why Jesus' body had to be so severely mutilated.
At the end of the episode, he visits the waters of Bethesda to tell his personal story of how God miraculously healed him of epilepsy. The historic setting and Wilkin’s vulnerable story bring Jesus’ last 18 hours to life, so you can know His sacrifice for you, too.

#5 The Wonder of Liberation
In this episode, Wilkin returns to the nunnery in the heart of ancient Jerusalem to examine a special detail. He then visits a chapel, returning to the moment when Roman soldiers cruelly crowned Jesus with a crown of thorns.
In this chapel, we find an extraordinary work of art that helps us understand the meaning of the fifth miracle of the cross. The meaningful artwork and location take us back to those last 18 hours of Jesus’ life, making His sacrifice for you real and impactful.

#6 The Wonder of Reconciliation
Wilkin follows the Via Dolorosa with a group of pilgrims in the footsteps of Jesus to Golgotha. He makes his way to the so-called “Street of Herod”—a stone's throw from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem—where he pauses at a very special fragment of the ruined temple with a mysterious inscription.
From this stone—at precisely the moment Jesus died on the cross—a trumpet sounded throughout Jerusalem, announcing that the Lamb of Easter had been sacrificed. There is no better place to reflect on why Jesus was crucified than here.

#7 The Wonder of Being Born Again
In this final episode, Wilkin wonders why the Roman soldier pierced Jesus' body with his spear when he saw that Jesus had already died. After an impressive visit to the Garden Tomb in ancient Jerusalem and a surprising discovery on the Mount of Olives, Wilkin leaves Jerusalem to go south to the Sea of Galilee.
He stops at the spot where the Jordan River leaves the lake, the baptismal site of Yardenit. Here, hundreds of people from all over the world are baptized every day. In this beautiful place, Wilkin shows you how God looks at you through the miracle of the cross: you are loved, desired, and deeply loved.
