“A Season to Move Forward”

I am so honored that you have spent this week with me on "A Miracle Every Day!" We have been journeying with the prophet Elijah through the ups and downs of his calling to follow God in both obedience and trust.
As I look back on the seasons of my life, I am in awe of how God has shown up for me! Seasons of challenge have given way to seasons of victory! Seasons of prolonged prayer have continued as I wait on God for miracles. My personal transitions from child, to teenager, to young adult, to newlywed, to parent, to grandparent have all been accomplished through God’s presence and not through my own power!
I remember approaching every season with some level of fear and yet, the promises and faithfulness of God have sustained me every step of the way!
After Elijah’s seasons of fear, rest, and encounters with God, God gave him clear instructions: Go back. Listen to God speaking:
“The Lord said to him, ‘Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus.’” (1 Kings 19:15 NIV)
God wasn’t done with Elijah yet. Even after a time of mending, there was still work to be done. Elijah had been restored, not just for personal comfort but for a purpose. Sometimes, after seasons of struggle and healing, God calls us to step forward again in even greater ways than before!
You may find yourself in a season of healing and rest right now. But remember, God doesn’t restore us to stay stagnant. No, He restores us so that we can fulfill His calling on our lives!
If God is calling you to step forward, don’t hesitate. He has equipped you for the next chapter!
My friend, what is God calling you to do next? How can you step out in faith, trusting that the healing and lessons you’ve received will carry you forward into His plan for you?
The seasons of life will come and go, but God’s presence remains constant. Just like Elijah’s journey, our own walks with God involve seasons of calling, need, miracles, fear, mending, and renewal. But through each season, God is shaping us and preparing us for what comes next. Let’s embrace each season with trust, knowing that He is with us through it all.
Let’s Pray: Lord, thank You for restoring me. Help me to move forward in faith, knowing You have a purpose for my life. Strengthen me to take the next step, trusting that You will continue to guide me. Amen.
Never forget my friend:
You are a miracle!
